Neuromodulators
(Botox® , Dysport®)(All offices)
Dynamic wrinkles are wrinkles that are caused by repetitive movements and facial expressions.
Amongst the most common are the “eleven lines” between the eyebrows, horizontal lines across
the forehead, and smiles lines or crow’s feet around the eye. Neuromodulators can be used to
temporarily relax the muscles that create this motion, which can either prevent formation of
wrinkles or prevent the worsening of noticeable dynamic wrinkles. Talk to your provider about
your areas of concern to determine if neuromodulator injections are right for you.For more details regarding Botox , check here

DERMAL FILLERS
(Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra)(All offices)
With age, the skin loses elasticity due to decreased production of collagen and elastin, the
cellular turnover rate decreases and causes skin to appear more dull. These changes result in
the formation of fine lines. In later years, fat, muscle, and bone loss in the face leads to a
noticeable overall volume loss causing deeper wrinkles and ‘sagging’. Injectable fillers can be
used to replace some of this volume loss and improve the appearance of deep wrinkles. It is
typically recommended that fillers are used in conjunction with other modalities such as tissue-
tightening lasers and neuromodulators to increase the product’s longevity. Discuss your
concerns with your provider to determine an optimal treatment plan.
PLATELET-RICH-PLASMA (PRP)
(Orland Park office)
Blood contains platelets that play a vital role in both natural blood clotting and wound healing. Platelets are comprised of numerous growth factors that are responsible for this healing. By obtaining a sample of whole blood through phlebotomy, we are able to extract the plasma which has a high concentration of platelets and these important growth factors, known as Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP). PRP is well-known in the field of orthopedics to expedite healing and preserve joint function. Today, many specialties are finding ways that PRP can benefit their patients. In dermatology, it is used to:

    • Improve hair growth for those with male or female pattern hair loss
    • Bring a more youthful appearance to the skin by promoting collagen production and restoring elasticity to the skin
    • Promote wound healing

PRP can be injected into a treatment area much like dermal fillers or applied to the skin with microneedling. Aquagold stamping can be used to mix your PRP sample with neuromodulators or other HA fillers to enhance the outcome of any anti-aging treatments. Ask your provider which option is best for you.
